I have 5 of the 5 Vegas Miamis They are 5.5x something bigger than a 50 maybe 55. I dont know. Never could figure how to measure the width. I would be willing to trade if anyone is interested unless there's some law against it. Send me an email jlotrug@comcast.net

This is a good idea and one worth exploring. There are many other cigar websites that do product reviews — just like there are many others that do cigar reviews. But why not throw the Stogie Guys hat into the ring?

Seems like the first step is to gather all of the products…

I, for one, think Sam’s idea is a good one. Why not put these various products to the test?

That said, call me old fashioned, but I find good ole wooden matches get the job done.

Maybe that would make a good comparison story. Some regular matches, a bic lighter, your Wal Mart lighter, a Zippo and some higher end lighters- Colibri, POrsche Design, ST Dupont etc. Maybe some of your vendors could donate for the cause. I will put in for donating a Colibri tri flame if you’re up for it. I have had trouble with a Colibri and another Colibri(The Talon) not one problem.

You could also do a round robin review of cigar cutters- from the trusty fingernail to one of these-

I would suggest a three month process so they can really be used.

I have nto had the best experience with 5 vegas. Found their gold line to be extremely green and vegetal tasting. Maybe the red line would be better.

Patrick my friend- time to invest in a proper lighter. A double guillotine but a Wal Mart Lighter?? Colibiri offers some nice value priced models or better yet, get to the Davidoff online store and get a couple of boxes of long cedar cigar matches. You’ll be the suavest guy around!
