[...] A year ago, I wrote about this Camacho line as a fine cigar but nothing special. Since I’ve been enjoying many Cameroon wrapper cigars lately, I thought I’d give it another try. This time I had a 48-ring gauge, 6.5-inch Churchill. Quite honestly, I was less impressed than before. The smoke and finish were unusually dry, there were few of the enjoyable Cameroon flavors I’ve found in other sticks. and I encountered harshness at several points along the way. All in all, I think you can easily find far better Cameroons. [...]

I'm a big fan of these. A great cigar for the price they put on it. I have found the Super Robusto and the Lonsdale the best vitolas of the line. I had the benefit of getting my hands on the pre-production run of these and the blend was a bit different. As I understand it, Christian changed the blend when it went to production, kicking it up a bit to make it "more Camacho" like. If you had gotten to try the pre-production blend, then you would agree with the "Best Cameroon" claim. That blend was solid gold and the claim fit. I was a little disappointed they changed it when they went to production because it was absolutely phenomenal the way it was. That being said, I still enjoy the production release as well.
