Stricter bans on smoking, banning plastic grocery bags, and putting a 1 year ban on new fast-food restaurants in a portion of the city are high on their list. Improving traffic conditions, keeping predatory gang members from killing innocent young people, and fighting the growth in the illegal alien problem--not so much. To make matters worse, the state legislature and the leftist Governator are picking up some of the same stupid nanny-state issues and spreading their application statewide. Don't get surprised once you're aboard — as has happened — to learn that rules have changed.
