Anyway living in Portland is about to get very frustrating. The new rules are up on the DHS website http://oregon.gov/DHS/ph/smokefree/thelaw.shtml#exceptions it makes it nearly impossible to be a cigar bar or shop (especially downtown). I've grown up in Portland. I actually live across the river right now in Vancouver, WA where there is a complete ban on smoking. I've enjoyed going into Portland to smoke cigars in the few places that allow it still. I'm really disappointed to here that I'm not going to be able to do that. I sure hope my apartment doesn't ban smoking outside. Welcome to the northwest, environmentalism is the religion. People go way to far, don't even get me started. I feel you. The rights of choice and the freedom to choose without feeling threatened that one would be viewed as barbaric or even sinister by those who will even be affected by an iota of the decision.
