Great review of a spectacular smoke. Usually I can't fully enjoy churchills--just too much of a time commitment and there are few cigars I enjoy enough for such long smoking. But the Cabaiguans really do it for me. Can't wait for fall again to light up one of those bad boys and watch some football! Maybe if we're all lucky Pete can release a Verocu "midwest" in a churchill vitola--lets all wish!

Nice review. Funny you compare it to the R&J SC. The Cuban that came to mind as closest to me would be the R&J Exhibicion #4, but I haven't had a SC, so that may very well be closer. I too enjoy a cigar with complexity, subtlety, and balance, and hope the next trend is in that direction.

This is a good cigar, but I find them to start off harsh for the first inch before mellowing out and becoming a very good smoke.

Outside of the price, this is an excellent cigar. One of my favorites - can be smoked anytime of the day.
