Quick Smoke: Perdomo Habano Connecticut Toro
27 Sep 2008
Each Saturday and Sunday we’ll post a Quick Smoke: not quite a full review, just our brief take on a single cigar.
This extension of the Perdomo Habano line features a beautiful honey blonde wrapper and a mix of Nicaraguan filler. The most outstanding characteristic of the Toro (5.5 x 54) is how smooth it smokes. But don’t mistake the Connecticut shade wrapper for a bland smoke; while it isn’t particularly strong, it is full and satisfying. At $5.50 a stick, it’s worth a try.
Verdict = Buy.

This is now my favorite cigar. Excellent construction, taste, draw, and ashe. Try it, you won't be disappointed.
Excellent smoke. Beautiful mild to med wood, a little leather and spice and it all comes to a smooth creamy finish as expected with the connecticut wrapper. I like both the corojo and maduro, but this is my favorite out of the 3 habano's. Can't go to my local tobacconist without buying a few of these "go to cigars" while I pick out a few new sticks to try.
