Quick Smoke: Cohiba Pirámides Edición Limitada 2006 (Cuban)
12 Dec 2009
Each Saturday and Sunday we’ll post a Quick Smoke: not quite a full review, just our brief verdict on a single cigar of “buy,†“hold,†or “sell.â€
I originally reviewed this Cuban Cohiba back in early 2008. While it was tasty and well-balanced, the Pirámides Edición Limitada 2006 was unworthy of its excessive cost. Today, after 20 months of aging in my humidor, this cigar still suffers from some construction problems. And the flavors of pepper, marshmallow, and dark chocolate aren’t as exciting as they should be to command a price of over $30.
Verdict = Hold.

More often than not I've found that the Limitadas are not worth it. Same goes for the Romeo and Julieta 2009 Duke… be forewarned…
Cubans in general are not worth what they cost, keeping that crap communist regime afloat down there! The are always plugged, all taste similar and even Pete said in his interview they suffer fates not known to Nic and Honduras, Dominican, etc. Cohiba waaaaay overpriced!
Nice review. I think I just received one of these in the mail, interested to see how it its.
