Quick Smoke: Bravo Colombian Gold Toro

3 Apr 2010

Each Saturday and Sunday we’ll post a Quick Smoke: not quite a full review, just our brief verdict on a single cigar of “buy,” “hold,” or “sell.”

Bravo Colombian Gold Toro

Word is that Roberto Juarez of Bravo Cigars recently teamed up with Gene Arganese to re-blend his smokes. I haven’t had the opportunity to try a new Bravo yet, but I’m still a fan of the old Colombian puro version. The Toro, measuring six inches with a 50 ring gauge, boasts top-notch construction and a mild, creamy profile of oak, vanilla, honey, and toast. Great for a relaxed morning with coffee or lazy afternoon with a cold beer.

Verdict = Buy.

    Thanks Patrick for the stellar review. You are correct about teaming up with Gene Arganese to produce my newest series of cigars. We will also be reblending the Colombian series for a more favorable flavor profiles and body. You will be the first to review the upcoming Signature Series and the remixed Sosegado. Those pe-releases should be out of the humidor in about two weeks where they've been aging for fourty five days. Soon to follow, the Colombian Gold, North Coast and Cafe de Colombia will be released in order. We are totally remodling the website so the best way to keep up with everything Bravo is Facebook…BRAVO CIGAR.

    Thanks for you support and I promise everyone, they won't be disappointed with the new releases.
